Thank you Card

I made this card for a girl at work.  She likes to bake cookies... I like to eat them!  lol!  Any hoo, she made a batch for me to take home.  They were yummy!

I used From My Kitchen for the cuts.

Tic Tac Toe Entry

I was really excited to do the Cricut Circle Blog challenge!

I found this mirror at a yard sale for $2.00!!   I knew I wanted to do something with it as soon as I seen it. My dear, sweet mother said to me, "Honey, you know you can get a new mirror quite easily to replace that old one!"  Ha, ha, ha!  Silly girl!  That's the charm of it!

When I saw the Cricut challenge, I perused over the Tic Tac Toes.  I originally wanted to use a different set of three, but when I got the mirror, I changed to:  1.  Use a Cricut cut flower.  2.  Use buttons.  3.  Make a ruffle.

The flowers were cut from Mother's Day Bouquet.  I used a piece of ugly paper (as always!  It's either that or scraps only!)  I wanted to make more of them because I love how they look, but I really could not recall what it looked like before I cut it so I was not sure if I had another piece!  lol!

I used the inside of a leaf from Straight From the Nest for the pine needles.  I used Cricut Essentials (boy, I'll say Essential!) for the other leaves.  I love that leaf!  I used to use  punches I bought, but I can make a lot with the Cricut at one time, I know they will cut properly and I can store the extras for later!  I cut the pine needles out of a 12x12 piece of card stock and leave them all on the sheet of card stock and pull them off as I need them.  It's fabulous!

I used DCWV, MME and Tim Holtz papers.  I'm not sure who made the tag.  The Monogram D, I believe is 7Gypsies.  The beautiful buttons I also got at a garage sale... CHEAP!    So blessed!  You can't see the two on the ruffle I made.  I tried to take a picture of this, but wow, it's hard to take a picture of a mirror!  lol!

I have one of those flourishes of bling.  I think they look beautiful, but omg what a nightmare to take them off of their acetate and put them on.  Any tips on that would be great!  The tassel bling was from a yard sale.  It is gorgeous!

The clock was fun!  I punched out one of the clocks from the TH paper pack.  I used Glossy Accents and secured it to a large Fragment piece.  The metal hands are picture turns/secures.  The outer metal piece is an ear ring (yep, that's right!) that I cut and added a button (from the yard sale!)

The doilies are from MS Elegant cake.

The ruffle was dollar store ribbon that you would use to wrap a gift with.  I put dollar store ribbon on it and yard sale buttons.

There are other assorted treasures on this from various places.  My darling hubby was tickled pink when I used a bottle cap from his favorite pop!

I am very happy with how this turned out.  I think it is exquisite!  All told, I probably spent $5 - $10 (max!!!)  for what  I will be displaying proudly in my home, and then given to my little girl for a gift one day.  I might never have made this if I wasn't wanting to enter that contest!

I also used another two carts in my journey!

Forever Young BD Card

I have had a good day today, inside my house, getting work done, cooking, baking, cleaning and crafting.  It's too rainy and wet to do anything else.  I like these days sometimes!

I made this card with Forever Young.  I chose the yellow back ground because it was sitting on my work station from my project I'm working on for the monthly challenge already distressed.

I made an "oops" with the tags.  They were supposed to be purple underneath and the creamy paper on top.  I didn't realize what I did until it was too late!  I was able to resurrect it by taking out the letters and putting them on the cream and then another backing on the cream.  I think they turned out pretty good.  I love the little tag attacher to secure them.  How fun is that?  I like the idea of the old fashioned mirror for the girl to look into.  (My daughter really wants to get her hands on mine, the little rotter!)

I didn't think about the pattern in the dress until after I had cut it out.  I got lucky again there!  The image was cut right in the middle of the flower!  Woot woot!

Overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out.  I like to try new things if I can.  It keeps me from growing stale!

Another cart got used in my quest!  I wish I didn't have to work all of the time or I'm sure I could get them all used in short order!

See my new Cricut blinkie?  I just got that today!  I had zero idea how to get it put there, but an awesome Circle member showed me how.  I feel like a kid in a candy store!

Moi, Me, Myself!

OMG!  Please pay your medical bills before viewing this picture! The frightfulness of it may cause you to need CPR!  lol!

I really want to enter the Cricut giveaway on their blog, so as much as I hate pictures of myself, I have to put one on here so I can link it to the blog.  It's supposed to be of our scraping room.  Mine needs a bit of an overhaul before I'd be willing to put that up here too!  I thought some of the SU! inks would be showing in the background and the ribbon rack and paper, but I guess it's a close up.  My face is really red as I spent the day roofing.  Ugh!  Not my favorite "past time".  In fact, I don't think I care to spend any time doing it!!!  It's just a financial necessity.

Don't you just love the little feet on my E?  I think they are so cute!  My room is yellow and blue.  It's very friendly.

Good Job!

I made this card for my dd who just participated in a gymnastics tournament.  She did pretty good.  This is her first year and I've very proud of her accomplishments.

I used Cindy Loo for all of the cuts.  Who knew this little lacey cut was there?  I started with that and went from there.  The cute little squirrel is popped up.  I had to bling it it up a bit.  My dd loved the rosie cheeks and all the bling.

Horsie Thank You!

This is the card I made to go with the bookmark.  They don't have any similarities, but like I said, I'm eclectic and do different things upon whims!

I just got Four Legged Friends and knew I had to do something with that horse!  He's so darn cute!  At first I was going to go for a more traditional look, but then the light bulb started to shine and I had an epiphany!  Why not do a horse like "My Little Pony"?!   With that in mind, I chose pattern papers and blinged it up!  I cut the bird from Cindy Loo.  The Clouds are from Create a Critter.  I just love that cart!  I go to it often for items to cut!  The sun is from Doodlecharms and the face is from Peachy Keen Stamps.  The grass is from Happy Hauntings.  I made the landscape with different green papers cut at different heights.  I had a lot of fun making this card!  I really like how whimsical it turned out!  I hope she likes it too!

I used 3!!! carts in my journey!  Woot Woot!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a lovely day!

Thank You Bookmark

I made this for a sweet soul who did me a favor without me even asking!  Now that is a beautiful person!  It's been distressed with a couple Ranger Distress Inks.  I added flowers and a bunch of embellishments.  It took awhile to figure out how much blue was enough, without being too much or too little.  I think I got a good balance now!

I used another cart!

Happy

I made this card for my mother for Mother's Day.  She loves her cats!  I used my new absolutely gorgeous cart:  Kate's ABCs.  I could hardly wait to get this cart!  I love everything about it!  I also used Mother's Day Bouquet for the sun and Sentimentals for the mat.  I used SU! punch for the "Happy" label.  I slipped a little lace under the dress.  I think it added a little extra dimension of cuteness!

Three more carts used (although two new lol!) in my "Use Your Carts!" journey!

Since beginning on the journey to use my cart I have become  inspired to use my embellishments, etc.  as well, so I will be trying hard to put a few "little extras" onto my cards.  Although, I am sure If I used 10 items each time (I used 23 on this one!)  I still would not be able to use them all up in the next 20 years!  lol!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a royal day!
