Wedding Dress Card
Well, this card took waaay more time than I would have ever guessed! I wanted it to be very elegant, and I honestly feel I got there. I'm not sure if I should put the title "Congratulations" on it or not. I don't have to give it to the girl for over a month so I still have time to decide. I just wanted to put to paper the idea I had as quickly as possible so I didn't forgot it!
The dress is from Tie the Knot cartridge. When I saw it, I thought of those old fashioned dresses you would see in the movies. I used Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes cartridge to make the loops. (See, I told you it was elegant!) lol! I cut them down and layered, layered, layered! The 1/4" that I cut off of each, I used to make the quill flowers. I just cut them to 2.5 - 3" long, coloured the edges blue and twirled using my CuttleBug quilling pen. I used Pagoda cartridge and cut out a batch of apple blossoms for the petals under the flowers. The petals needed to be tiny and these worked great! I added ribbon and a flower brad to the center of the dress. I glittered the upper portion of the dress.
Okay, I have to say, I'm tooting my own horn over this dress! It came out perfectly and I absolutely love it! It's so cool when an idea comes together!
I put a couple of layers of paper, the blue designer paper under the dress is K & Co. The white cs is from Bazzill and the dark blue is SU! The white layer I embossed with my CB. I made the roses and leaves on the top from Pagoda. I then topped them with glitter mist I made with water and Perfect Pearls and glued them on.
I used one more in my way to using all of my carts: Pagoda
