Put a Cork in it!

I just couldn't resist that title!  I made this card with the Splitcoaststampers "Ways To Use It" thread in mind.  The goal:  use cork on your project.

The tree and the fence are both Sizzix dies.  The "tree" is actually a Tim Holtz holly die.  I just used the branch and added a little ink.  I added Prima flowers to the tree.  The sun face is Peachy Keen and the "Hello" is, I think, Technique Tuesday, but I'm not positive.  I smooshed a couple of green inks on the bottom, added a few layers of paper, a ribbon and a sweet little bird from Webster's Pages.  I'll be sending this little birdie flying off to a friend of mine.  It was a quick, fun card to make.

There is  Blog Candy offered so you want to start at the beginning and read how to participate to win.

Well, on my first time out of the shoot I missed the mark!  I misunderstood, or at least I think so, that the posts were to be up by June 19/11.  I thought I was gonna be all ready tomorrow and have it up early.   Well, low and behold a bunch of you lovely girls came by today!  Yikes!

Here is the  layout I made for my dh.  He had taken our daughter to an Angel's game opening night.  He said she had a wonderful time, but most of it was spent watching the peddlers sell their wares... and convincing dad she needed to buy everything they had for her to eat!  I know this will bring back great memories for him.

I used Boys will Be boys for the ball, glove and bat.  The font is from Batman.  The silhouette (how perfect is that?!) is from A Child's Year.  I added some jolees, and some glitter to the letter A.

My journey on using all of my carts continues!

This is a quick card I made for my dh for Father's Day.  I think he can enjoy himself catching up on moving the grass, roofing...  lol!  The grass was made with Martha Stewart scissors.  The grass on the card looks as long as ours does here!  It has been raining for weeks!

I used my new Cricut Circle Cart:  Pop Up Neighborhood for the mower,  Doodlecharms for the sun, A Child's Year for the font(I almost didn't buy this cart because I thought I would never use it!  Wow, was I wrong!)  and Create a Critter for the puffs of smoke.  The sun has a "Peachy Keen" smile.

Here is my blog candy.  Become a follower and leave a comment.  If you become a follower, say so in your comment and I will put your name in twice.  I will draw from all of the names with comments on this post.  The winner will be announced by Tuesday June 21 and the prize will be sent out by the 27th of June.  Canada Post is on strike so I will drive to the border on one of those two days if you live in the States.  If you live in Canada, sorry girls, you will have to wait for the postal system to get back in line! For all of the girls who left a post on the prior post as this one was not up, your names will also be entered.

Thanks for hopping along with us. Remember, if you leave a comment on every designers blog hop post, your name will go into the drawing for the for the blog Candy affered by ChatterScene.

Horsie Thank You!

This is the card I made to go with the bookmark.  They don't have any similarities, but like I said, I'm eclectic and do different things upon whims!

I just got Four Legged Friends and knew I had to do something with that horse!  He's so darn cute!  At first I was going to go for a more traditional look, but then the light bulb started to shine and I had an epiphany!  Why not do a horse like "My Little Pony"?!   With that in mind, I chose pattern papers and blinged it up!  I cut the bird from Cindy Loo.  The Clouds are from Create a Critter.  I just love that cart!  I go to it often for items to cut!  The sun is from Doodlecharms and the face is from Peachy Keen Stamps.  The grass is from Happy Hauntings.  I made the landscape with different green papers cut at different heights.  I had a lot of fun making this card!  I really like how whimsical it turned out!  I hope she likes it too!

I used 3!!! carts in my journey!  Woot Woot!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a lovely day!
