Happy Father's Day!

I made this card for my hubby for Father's Day.  I only used a mat for the inside.   I used my Cricut and Elegant Edges to make it.  I keep a bag of extra cuts in a large folder and just reach for one when I need something quickly.

 
I used Stampin Up, Making Memories and DCWV papers.  I added a doily that I bought a dollar store and sprayed with different Copic markers to get the color combo I wanted.  The "Dad" is from Soft Spoken.  I added some Webster's Pages and Simple Story stickers, some brads and of course Bling!  I sewed a couple of layers to make it feel more complete.

On the inside, I added Washi tape to the inside to cover up the sewing.  It makes it look a lot nicer!  I then added some of the extra sticker pieces, a mat with a SU! sentiment and I was done!
The card just kept growing and growing from a very basic idea. 

It's a Girl!

One of my colleagues is having a baby girl.  It was her last day at work and we had a mini going away for her.  This is the card I made for her.

I used Cricut carts:  Pop Up Neighborhood for the buggy, Elegant Edges for the matt and Birthday Bash for the banner.  I used the cupcake Cuttlebug folder to add dimension to the matt.  The paper is Webster's Pages petite papers,  and Stampin' Up card stock.  I added bling, a Maya Road bow, brads, ribbon, twine, puffy and bubble alphabets. 


This was a very quick card to make.  Very fun and very well received!

Rainbow Happy Birthday

I made this card for a colleague.  I got this digi stamp online, I believe from Saturated Canary.  She may be a Sljenke one.  I'm not positive.   I printed her and cut her out, along with her mat using my Silhouette.  I decided it would be fun to add painted color to the mat layer.  She is colored with copics.  I had a bit of an "oops" with her, but it is not so drastic that I thought I should throw her away.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the eyes, orange and shoes.

It's fun to be crafting again!

Thinking of you...

I just lost a client of mine.  It was a very sad day.  He was such a pleasant fellow.  He was not very old.  He will be missed by many, many people. 

There is no machine work on the outside.  On the inside there is, but I realized after I wrote the sentiment that I had not taken a photo.  I did not feel it was appropriate to show the sentiment.

The card was made with things I have on hand.  I used scrap pieces of paper, some washi tapes, 2 different ribbons, the top one is a $1 store item and a left over piece of sticky back paper trim.  The sentiment is a stamp in my stash.  A little corner trim and it was done. It came together quite quickly.

Encouragement

Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted!  I apologize to all of you!  When stress piles up it is sometimes hard to do even the simplest of things!  I have had projects done, but just didn't have the energy to put them on for all of you.  But truthfully, I had not been crafting like I had been.  Too bad it is sometimes the things we love to do that suffer so much!

Right before the stress became too unbearable, I  had purchased a Silhouette Cameo.  I like to use this as well as my Cricut as I can do different things with each machine.  I think there is a place for both of these amazing machines in my life.

I think I chose to start with this card as I truly felt like I could use a little encouragement myself today.

This quick little card was made with my Silhouette.  I needed a quick card that would share the sentiment that we care about our fellow worker who's son was in the hospital quite sick.  I needed it for the following morning.

The design is a pre-made image that I purchased at the Silhouette store.  I just print and cut it.  I was in such a hurry, I didn't even layer the white back ground!  The little tag was cut out with my Expression.  I make a bunch at a time and keep them handy for when I need one quickly.
